Our Climate Commitment — SBTi Validated
Presto has set science-based climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
- Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 54.6% by 2033, from a 2023 baseline
- Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 54.6% within the same timeframe
These third-party validated targets are aligned with what leading climate science identifies as necessary to limit global warming to 1.5°C — and reflect our ambition to set the standard for climate responsibility in the European safety services industry.
Circularity — Our Take-back system for Fire Extinguishers
As the only manufacturer of handheld fire extinguishers in the Nordic region, Presto takes end-to-end responsibility — from design and production to service, maintenance, and end-of-life return. When cylinders, valves, and extinguishing agents meet our quality standards, they are reused — reducing the need for raw materials at source.
The result is fire extinguishers that continue to be CE-marked and EN 3-classified, with a proven lower environmental impact.
Demonstrated real-world impact
Life cycle assessments of our fire extinguishers (functional unit: "fire extinguisher 30 years") confirm that reuse through take-back system" consistently delivers:
- Up to 56% lower climate impact (kg CO₂-eq)
- Up to 62% lower resource consumption of minerals and metals (kg Sb-eq)
